1. Data Security & Residency
Your health records are among the most sensitive data you own. We treat them that way:
- Encrypted in transit. Every connection to VerumPrime is protected with TLS — appointment details, prescriptions, and reports never travel over the network unencrypted.
- Encrypted at rest. Stored records are encrypted on disk, with role-based access controls so hospital staff, doctors, and pharmacists each see only what their role requires.
- Stored in India. Your data is primarily stored on infrastructure located in India (AWS Mumbai region), so your health records stay within Indian jurisdiction.
- DPDP Act, 2023 alignment. Our collection, processing, and retention practices are designed around the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — including purpose limitation, consent, and your rights to access, correction, and erasure.
The full detail — what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and who we share it with — lives in our Privacy Policy.
2. Payment Security
Consultation fees on VerumPrime are processed by Cashfree Payments, a PCI-DSS compliant, RBI-regulated payment gateway. When you pay, you are handing your card or UPI details to the gateway — not to us.
- We never store card numbers. Card, UPI, and netbanking credentials are captured inside the gateway's secure checkout and never touch VerumPrime's servers or database.
- Refunds go back to the original method. When a paid booking is cancelled and qualifies for a refund, the money is returned to the same card, UPI handle, or account you paid with — we cannot redirect it elsewhere.
- Every transaction is traceable. Your Billing page keeps a full history of payments, invoices, and refund status.
3. Verified Doctors
Every doctor listed on VerumPrime provides their medical registration number when onboarding. Our team checks that number against the issuing medical council's records before the profile earns the Verified badge you see on doctor cards and profiles.
- The Verified badge means the doctor's name and registration number matched an active medical-council registration at the time of verification.
- Doctors cannot grant themselves the badge — verification status, name, and registration number can only be set by the VerumPrime team, never edited from a doctor's own dashboard.
- Verification confirms registration. It is not an endorsement of clinical outcomes, and it does not replace your own judgement in choosing a doctor — qualifications, experience, and patient reviews are shown on each profile to help you decide.
4. Your Rights as a Patient
- Cancel when plans change. You can cancel a booking from your dashboard. Cancel more than 2 hours before the slot and a paid booking qualifies for a full refund; inside 2 hours, the booking is non-refundable by default (genuine emergencies can be raised with support). The exact windows are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
- Automatic refunds. When you cancel a paid booking that qualifies, the refund is initiated automatically as part of the cancellation — no separate form, no chasing. You'll see its status on your Billing page.
- Delete your data. You can request deletion of your account and personal data any time from Settings, in line with your erasure rights under the DPDP Act, 2023. Some records may be retained where the law requires it, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Be heard. A designated Grievance Officer (see our Terms & Conditions) acknowledges complaints within 24 hours, as required under the IT Rules, 2021.
