Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains when you can cancel an appointment, what happens if a doctor cancels, and how refunds are processed back to your original payment method.

Overview

VerumPrime is operated by Om Prakash Kumar (Proprietor), trading as VerumPrime. When you book an appointment through verumprime.in and pay the consultation fee online, the following terms govern cancellations and refunds. This policy supplements our Terms & Conditions.

1. Cancellation by Patient

  • More than 4 hours before the appointment — you may cancel free of charge and receive a full refund of the consultation fee.
  • Less than 4 hours before the appointment — a refund is not guaranteed. A partial or full refund may be issued at the discretion of the hospital or doctor, depending on the reason for cancellation.

To cancel, sign in and use the cancel option on your appointment, or write to support@verumprime.in.

2. Cancellation by Doctor or Hospital

If a doctor or hospital cancels your appointment (for example, due to an emergency or unavailability), you are entitled to a full refund of the consultation fee. The refund will be initiated automatically and credited back to your original payment method within five (5) to seven (7) business days.

Where possible, we will also offer to reschedule the appointment with the same provider, or help you find an alternative provider with similar credentials.

3. No-Show Policy

If you do not arrive for a confirmed appointment and have not cancelled it in advance, the appointment will be marked as a no-show and no refund will be issued. This is to compensate the provider for the reserved time. If you have a genuine reason for missing an appointment, please contact us and we will review the case in good faith.

4. Refund Processing

  • Refunds are initiated within twenty-four (24) hours of approval.
  • Once initiated, the amount is typically credited back to your original payment method within five (5) to seven (7) business days. The exact timing depends on your bank or payment provider.
  • You will receive an email confirmation when the refund is initiated.

5. Refund Method

Refunds are always processed back to the original payment source — for example, the same UPI ID, card, or wallet you used to pay. We do not issue refunds to alternative accounts or by other means. If your original payment instrument is no longer available, please contact your bank; we cannot reroute refunds.

6. Disputes

If you believe a refund has not been processed correctly, or you wish to dispute a charge, raise it within seven (7) days of the transaction by emailing grievance@verumprime.in. Include your appointment ID, the payment reference, and a brief description of the issue. Our Grievance Officer will respond as required under the IT Rules, 2021.

7. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refund:

  • Platform convenience fees and payment-gateway charges, where applicable.
  • Consultations that have already been completed.
  • Appointments missed by the patient without prior cancellation (no-shows).
  • Tests, procedures, medicines, or services billed directly by the hospital outside the VerumPrime platform.
